This Hermitage dates back to the 17th century and has a very peculiar history attributed to storms and lightning strikes. It is very close to the town of Salzadella and deserves a visit.

Hermitage of Santa Barbara. Salzadella
Its construction dates from the end of the 17th century, although it was almost certainly built on top of another, older temple.
In agricultural lands there are numerous hermitages dedicated to Santa Bárbara, since she is venerated to be free from the lightning of storms. Hence, the popular tradition still preserves the saying: "Blessed Santa Bárbara, that we keep from the collita".
Formerly the residents of Tírig made pilgrimages to this place, until in 1603 they built their own hermitage to the saint.
