You should have walked around here before when the water is deep enough to walk on the bottom of the lake. If you have been in the area for a longer period of time, it is also worthwhile to come by regularly when the water level rises and watch the bridge being flooded again - very impressive.

You can reach them from the dam in the direction of the wildlife park, then turn right along the west bank to the Hammerbergspitze, where there are stairs leading to the Edersee. The Aseler Bridge has actually been flooded in the Edersee since 1914.
At low water (as of 03.09.2022 = 14% filling level of the lake), the Asel bridge can be seen and crossed in all its glory. The bridge crosses(d) the river Eder.
