Golubie is a former village on the edge of the Romincka Forest. Today, it's an open-air site with ruined foundations, old fruit trees, and a dilapidated obelisk commemorating its former inhabitants. The area is crisscrossed by the embankments of a former railway that encircled the forest (a route known for the bridges in Stańczyki), which now serve as dirt roads and convenient walking and cycling paths.

On-site, you'll find an information board detailing the village's history, a map, and an educational trail.

Golubie (German: Gollubien, 1938–1945: Unterfelde) – a settlement no longer in existence.
During the Germanization of local and physiographic names, the historical German name Gollubien was replaced by the artificial form Unterfelde in July 1938 by the Nazi administration.
The village, consisting of a dozen or so farms, was located on the southern edge of the Romincka Forest, near the pre-war Polish border. In the 1920s, the Germans built a railway through the village, encircling the forest (a route known for the bridges in Stańczyki). A railway station was built in the village. Beyond the village, on the eastern side – towards Żytkiejmy – the railway tracks branched during World War II. The main, pre-war track branched off towards Pobłędzie, while an additional line descended to Lake Hańcza and the town of Błaskowizna. The area around Błaskowizna and Bachanów boasts unique glacial boulder fields. During World War II, this additional railway line, built with the help of Italian prisoners of war and Polish forced laborers, transported erratic boulders, among other things, for the construction of Hitler's bunkers in Gierłoż – Wolfsschanze. The railway embankments, without sleepers, are now used as dirt roads and tourist hiking and cycling trails.

The village was one of the first German villages encountered in this region by the Red Army (3rd Belorussian Front) in 1944. As a result, it was thoroughly destroyed, and the Masurian civilian population who did not manage to hide in the Romincka Forest was raped, beaten, and murdered. The village was completely looted and destroyed. The survivors returned to the village after the war, but in the early 1970s they were forced to emigrate under direct pressure from the USSR, which held the memory of that first pogrom infamous. Several tombstones can still be seen in the former cemetery nearby. Some bear faint Gothic inscriptions.
