                      A beautiful bathing lake, a lovely day trip destination not far from Munich. Lake Karlsfeld was created in the early 1940s through gravel mining necessary for the construction of the Deutsche Reichsbahn marshalling yard. Between 1971 and 1977/76, it was developed into a bathing lake and recreational area. Today, large lawns, sports facilities, and beer gardens, as well as a lovely circular path around the lake, invite you to enjoy activities and relaxation. The lake is easily accessible by bike, and its excellent water quality makes it an ideal destination for a refreshing break.
