Sevettijärvi with a Russian Orthodox church and cemetery
The inhabitants - the Skoltsamen - live widely scattered along the street and settled here after the Second World War because their original settlement area was ceded to Russia.
All graves in the cemetery were very heavily covered with reindeer lichen (Irish moss).
A small, lovingly furnished museum reminds and informs about these historical events.
Very, very hospitable campsite owner who cooks fresh and tasty dishes especially for the guests!
