One of the three ruined castles, alongside Buffavento Castle and Hilarion Castle, in the Kyrenia Mountains of Northern Cyprus. Parts of the complex are really well preserved and offer a spectacular view in all directions, even as far as Turkey on a clear day. I recommend wearing sturdy shoes or at least well-fitting sandals as it is quite a walk up the stone steps. Admission currently (2023) costs 50 TL or 3 euros. There is a shaded rest area at the entrance, but no kiosk. The journey is via a very narrow asphalt road or you can take the beautiful panoramic hiking trail on foot.
