A wooden fortress once stood here, later a castle that was burned down several times. A Renaissance chateau was built in the 16th century, the interior of which was modified in the Baroque style in the 17th century by the Italian master builder Domeniko Marteli. In the years 1730 - 1736 the second baroque reconstruction was carried out according to the plan of the fisherman Emanuel von Erlach (boss friend of the Countess Palavicini). The ceiling fresco in the palace chapel is by Anton Maulpertch.
The chateau in Jaroslavice often changed owners, the last one was called August von Spee. The chateau has been owned by the state since 1945 and by the municipality since 1990. The chateau is inaccessible and so far the reconstruction of the building has failed.
