A promising hike starts at the Franzosenkirche in Velden, from where you can reach the Roman Bridge through the so-called Roman Gorge. Hiking here is very relaxing because you hear nothing except the gentle lapping of the water and the soft rustling of the leaves. At the Roman bridge you branch off to the right and follow the path to the forest lake, which can be found very idyllically in the middle of the forest. If you want, you can also circle the lake, whereby the path always runs along the shore and you can enjoy the great view of the natural water.

The beginning is unspectacular and the noise of the A2 is annoying. The further you walk, the more beautiful the gorge becomes. Connecting with the Forstsee or the Hohe Gloriette is worthwhile

Here, everything was just sawed down without any sense and pushed together with bulldozers. Sadly, this is further proof of environmental destruction.
