Pristine gravel track along a disused railway first built in 1842. You can literally soar along here on quiet days, but expect other trail-users on hot, summer days. It's advisable to have a bell. There are free car parks at Kirklington, Farnsfield and Bilsthorpe so you can incorporate the Southwell Trail into so many different routes. It's for horse riders and walkers too so ride mindfully.
