The Leyduin estate includes several estates that are now managed as a whole: Leyduin, Oud-Woestduin and Vinkenduin.
As with several estates on the edge of the dunes, the natural landscape was primarily used. On the one hand, there is the hilly dune landscape on the northwest side of the property. This was used to create a walkable forest. This was started in the (late?) 18th century. The most striking element is the Pate d'oie, which rises to the west near the bend in the river. It consists of two long straight lanes and one short winding lane.
Towards Vinkenduin there is a clearing with lonely trees that has a very special atmosphere. You can meet deer there in the middle of the day. There are areas where the bracken is as tall as a man. The diversity of tree species is great. Here and there you come across remarkable remains of old gardens. Towards Leyduin there are some hills covered with beech trees and lily of the valley fields with a romantic viewpoint at the highest point. Below, an old dune stream flows along a playing field.
