When visiting Kristiansand, a nice walk through the old part of Posebyen with its historic, white-painted houses should not be missed.

The Posebyen district is over 300 years old and Northern Europe's longest settlement of wooden houses. Fortunately, the houses remained intact after the fire in 1892. The district is considered unique today because of its size, its uniqueness and its many different buildings.
