              Radolfzell am Bodensee is a city on the northwestern shore of the Untersee, a part of Lake Constance, about 20 km northwest of Konstanz and ten km east of Singen (Hohentwiel) and after these the third largest city in the Konstanz district, the third largest city on Lake Constance and the only one City that has the addition “on Lake Constance”. Radolfzell forms a middle center for the surrounding communities and has been a large district town since January 1, 1975.

              Radolfzell is a health resort (Mettnaukur/Mettnau) and railway transport hub with businesses in mechanical engineering, automotive supply and the textile and food industries.

                Radolfzell should not be missed. Beautiful, old, small old town with the centrally located cathedral, a small but fine museum, a wide range of gastronomic offerings, the beach promenade directly at the train station, the Mettnau peninsula with a nature reserve, the outdoor swimming pool, pier for the solar ferry, a boat rental not only with rowing and Treboating, I really liked a kayak, you can rent SUP boards a little way towards Moos
                ... and last but not least, the town is the perfect starting point for bike tours, and you can always easily get back by train.

                  When I was on the Lake Constance cycle path, I planned my stage so that I reached Radolfzell around noon. The old town is worth seeing and worth a short detour. There are also many places to stop for lunch or a coffee break.
