The remains of the Santo Domingo Convent, built between the 14th and 15th centuries, and abandoned since Mendizábal's disentailment in 1834, constitute the oldest part of the Pontevedra Museum. The convent was founded in 1281 and belonged to the Dominican Order.

The ruins of Santo Domingo are the remains of a 14th-century Gothic convent preserved in the Galician city of Pontevedra, in Spain. Together with five other buildings, they form the Provincial Museum of Pontevedra. They were declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1895.
