Gorgeous little port town on the North Brittany coastline. Take a stroll or a ride around the harbour to gaze and the many boats here, from sailboats to small motorboats. I love looking at their names, and where in the world they have come from!

Perhaps better known since the singer Thomas Fersen referred to the port in his song À Dahouët, which appeared on the album Le Bal des Oiseaux in 1993.

Dahouët is a small Breton port located in the town of Pléneuf-Val-André. The road leading to this town from Lamballe descends gently into this port, passing at the very foot of the tide mill (built in 1821) before dividing on the one hand towards the seaside resort of Val-André and on the other towards the town center of Pléneuf.

Even if a few rare trawlers still cast their moorings there, it is only a marina, offering around 185 places on buoys (beached port) and, since 1989, 313 places in a wet basin, the Bassin des Salines . Its natural character, its heritage and a few shops (antiques, creperies, etc.) make it an important site for tourism in the sector. Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde is the guardian of this port, it is a large statue of the Virgin which is located on the customs path. The natural character of this shelter for the navigators makes it possible to believe in a great antiquity of this port. From the early years of the 16th century, armed boats in this port went fishing for cod in Newfoundland and especially in Iceland, the sailors of this sector being already renowned for their knowledge of the northern coasts of North America. .
