Simple, beautifully situated stone hut with large dormitories – thin wool blankets and pillows provided, sleeping bag recommended. Good drinking water from a mountain spring, very simple food (vegetarian options, however, only available upon reservation the night before!). There are toilets and sinks with cold water for washing. In summer, the dining room and dormitories are not heated in the evenings and at night. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m., allowing for an early start to Moldoveanu.
The hut has comparatively high prices, which is understandable given its high and remote location. Reservations are a good idea in summer.
