The Styvnäset cabin can be rented by contacting the Tyresta foundation. Behind the cabin is a fireplace and popular campsite for hikers. There are water pumps that are tested each year, a free supply of firewood, and a couple of small outhouses. There is enough flat ground for quite a few tents.
The small bays around Styvnäset are popular natural harbors for boats to stay at. Expect people to come ashore to use the fireplace.
There are two ways to Styvnäset. The hiking path along the western side along the water towards Åva are beautiful, but a bit technical. The mixed gravel road and doubletrack leading to the cabin further east are blocked with gates in a couple of places, but have wooden ladders that allow you to climb over the fence.
