The Grossenheider Königsmühle is located outside of Minden, in Todtenhausen to be precise. The slightly conical quarry stone tower has stood there since 1731. A beautiful photo motif. You can also visit the mill from the inside on the grinding and baking days from April to October.

The Todtenhausen windmill (Großenheider Königsmühle; Mühlenroute Nr. 12), not to be confused with the second windmill in Todtenhausen (Valentinsmühle; Mühlenroute Nr. 11), is a Wall-Dutch, probably built in 1731, with a slightly conical quarry stone tower and a small earth wall. The Grossenheider Mühle is one of three, once four, still existing royal mills in the Minden-Lübbecke district, all of which were built in the first third of the 18th century. It has belonged to the Beckemeier miller family since 1851. In 1922, an additional electric motor was installed, in 1951 the mill was switched entirely to motor operation, and in 1954 commercial milling was ended. The electric drive is still functional today, and the original wind drive is still largely "at a standstill".

The Grossenheider Königsmühle, Nordholzer Str. 110, can be viewed from the street at any time. I do not know whether and to what extent the obviously private outdoor area and/or the inside of the mill can be visited.
