The Welios is a permanent adventure exhibition on the subject of renewable energies and corresponds to the concept of a science center. The opening took place on April 16, 2011.

Welios Wels is located in the Volksgarten, near the city center of Wels. It was opened in 2011 and is the first science center in Upper Austria. The name “Welios” is made up of the city name and the sun god Helios.
