The largest structure of the 1972 disused small railway Brahlstorf-Neuhaus was the bridge over the Sude in Preten: With three large steel trusses she traverses the river.

From Brahlstorf station on the Berlin-Hamburg railway, a cycle path leads directly to the Elbe lowlands near Neuhaus. It runs largely on the route of a 1912 put into operation small train. Railway construction in the wet lowlands was laborious, but it paid off: above all grain, livestock, wood, fuel and building materials were transported on the tracks. Passenger traffic was discontinued in 1968 and freight traffic in 1972. But many buildings were preserved along the 10.67 kilometer route. The largest structure of the railway was the bridge in Preten: It crosses the Sude with three large steel trusses. However, the bridge built in 1911 by Louis Eilers (Hannover) needs to be renovated, and it is unclear whether it can remain part of the cycle path.
