The oil mill dates from the 18th century and is largely preserved in its original state. The origin, however, is much older. It was restored from 2002 to 2007 by Förderverein Ölmühle, but can only be visited on selected days.
The mill-wheel can no longer be easily seen since the entrance from the moat to the Nidder was blocked by a fence.
