    This small gorge is an alternative to the Landgrafen- and Drachenschlucht. It can be easily reached on foot or by bike. Halfway along the way, a remarkable waterfall awaits curious guests.

        The idyllic Ludwigsklamm is located in a nature reserve in the Johannistal. The gorge is known more to locals and is therefore much quieter than the Drachen- and Landgrafenschlucht. Moss-covered rocks flank the path. A small path leads down to a cave-like widening of the rock formations with a small waterfall, the "Ludwigsgrotte".

            Unfortunately, I couldn't admire the waterfall due to the persistent drought. But the gorge is just a force even without it. Absolute peace and a beautiful forest pure relaxation. There could be a few more seats to relax. And the tour is described as easy, it is also for the experienced hiker, but please think of sturdy shoes. Have fun hiking

                The klamm was unfortunately dry, but the peace, the beech trees with their still fresh green leaves and the chirping of the birds make up for it.

                        From Eisenach's Johannistal valley, a short, gorge-like side valley branches off to the east toward the Wine Route. This gorge was given the name Ludwigsklamm (Ludwig Gorge) by a Landgrave legend. The attraction for walkers is a small, intermittent waterfall, fed by a spring stream of the Sengelsbach stream.
