Ocean City & Beach is a city in Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It lies at the southern end of a 16 km long island that separates the Atlantic from the mainland. The city and island are known nationally for their tourist attractions. The island is geographically part of the Delmarva Peninsula. Ocean City has 7,173 inhabitants (as of 2000) with a land area of 11.8 km² and a water area of 82.4 km²
