    The railway line of the former Klöcknerbahn runs for around 13 kilometers in the district of Unna. From the Königsborn colliery in Bönen, the tour first heads west. In the meantime, cyclists have to switch to road traffic because the original route is no longer passable. From Kamen, the route then runs in a northerly direction to just before the Datteln-Hamm Canal. The connection across the canal to Werne is possible via the colliery railway.       The colliery railway, the Klöcknerbahnweg and the Max von der Grün Weg stretch from Werne Stockum to the former KB 3/4 colliery and offer a great experience.

      A top-notch cycle and hiking trail with a predominantly water-bound surface.

      - Long stretches away from traffic

      - ideal for relaxing and enjoying

      - Nice and shady in summer, so remember to turn on the lights!

      A bit of history:

      The region around the old colliery railways and freight railway lines offers plenty of insight into the industrial culture of the Ruhr area. Many of the once important transport links are now cycle paths and invite you to explore. On a tour you can visit old headframes, enjoy an ice cream at the Marina Rünthe or discover the impressive slag heap landscape in Bergkamen.
