One of the most beautiful vantage points in Waldshut
The Haspelhäusle was built in 1949 to replace an older shelter that burned down during the war. The Haspelhäusle was destroyed by arson on June 26, 2003. It was rebuilt in its original condition. The inauguration of the new building took place on April 30, 2005 (Source: Black Forest Association local group Waldshut-Tiengen)
The romantic Haspelhäusle is one of the most beautiful vantage points in Waldshut and a worthwhile destination for a short hike.
From the city (Viehmarktplatz) you reach the Haspelhäusle after about 1 km following the Hotzewald-Querweg (black and white diamond on a yellow rectangle). Alternatively, you can start at the moated castle in Eschbach (also about 1km on the Hotzenwald-Querweg in the direction of Waldshut). Good shoes are recommended.
