FriedWald is an alternative to the classic cemetery. In the middle of the forest, the ashes of the dead rest in biodegradable urns at the roots of trees. A small name board on the tree draws attention to the tomb.

The FriedWald is a freely accessible forest. Many people look for their final resting place during their lifetime. Free graves are identified by colored bands around the trees. Every funeral tree in the FriedWald is marked with a number and registered in a register at the municipality and at FriedWald. The tree number also helps to find the tree in the forest. For this purpose, a map is available at the entrance to the forest.

In FriedWald there is no grave care. The takes over here the nature.
