A structure from the early 20th century that was supposed to be invisible, especially from the air. So, all the buildings were built almost invisibly in the reddish granite, and this also covered the necessary walls and roofs. In fact, the fortress is so invisible that it is almost overlooked (except for two towers). Even inside, one makes many unexpected discoveries, only gradually realizing how vast the complex actually is. Particularly impressive is a winding tunnel (with windows) that leads through a rock to the large gun emplacement. However, one should be careful where one steps: in several places, there are unsecured shafts with rusted crampons leading downwards, whose floors disappear into the darkness. There may be another tunnel system beneath the fortress. In some places, permanent fixtures are still preserved: the coal stove is still there, and in the crew quarters, you can find the iron hammock racks. Some picturesquely rusted doors are also still in place. The towers offer a breathtaking view.
