Cordiñanes de Valdeón is a small mountain village located in the Valdeón Valley, within the Picos de Europa National Park, in the province of León. Although less well-known than Caín or Posada de Valdeón, it offers access to spectacular trails and high-mountain landscapes.

Cordiñanes de Valdeón is a few kilometers from the start of the Cares route, near the Tombo viewpoint. Especially in summer, this area is very busy.
It should be noted that the town is located on a hillside and in the shadow of the Peña del Porracho, whose wall evokes (due to natural erosion) the shape of a porracha. People used it as a sundial. Look closely!
