The often forgotten second beach of Las Palmas
The Playa de Las Alcaravaneras does not score with the same grandiose view as the Las Canteras, but it has many other advantages.

At the 550 meter long and 85 meter wide beach of Playa de Las Alcaravaneras, the locals meet in the afternoons after work or at the weekend. In the mornings, on the other hand, the beach is relatively empty and quiet during the week, when it can get a bit crowded at Las Canteras. Its central location makes it very easy to get to on foot or by public transport.

This beach was once a fishing beach and even today some fishing boats dock with fresh fish in the morning at Playa de Las Alcaravaneras. There are marinas to the left and right of the beach, and large cruise ships also dock here. The view of the open sea is blocked by a number of yachts.

There is no water sports provider at Playa de Las Alcaravaneras, but there is a field for football, volleyball and one for basketball. So if you are enthusiastic about these sports and would like to refresh yourself in the water in between, this is the right place for you. There is also a nice children's playground. Public showers, toilets and changing rooms are located directly on the beach, lifeguards are also mostly on site.
