Bell-lloc d'Urgell and its municipal term, has been a place of passage since time immemorial. The first human traces located are from the early Iron Age and date back to Roman times.
With regard to the period of Roman domination, there were some inhabited towers and spread over what is currently its terminus. This is shown by the ceramics and other objects that have been found, on the occasion of the leveling of different farmlands.
