There are three beautiful holiday apartments in the tower. You can get more information in the shop below or at Bopparder Weinkontor. However, there are 92 steps to the apartments and another 30 steps to the roof terrace, but for us hikers this is exactly the right thing 😊.

This tower is built from rubble stones, but not really historical.
Work on the connection of the Hunsrück Railway to the Boppard train station began around 1903. However, the Säuerlingsturm, which was part of the medieval city fortifications, stood in the way. Therefore, the tower was demolished in the years 1906-1908 and rebuilt with a thinner wall north of its old position. In the course of the relocation of the Säuerlingsturm, it was expanded into a water tower.
