Monument of a 100-year-old pumping station built by the former De Noorder Vechtdijken. The pumping station now ensures the drainage of the Haerst-Genne polder behind it. Before 1925, discharge of water from this area was only possible at low tide into the Zuiderzee via the old drainage lock.
