            On the front side of the fountain house there are four verses written by Klaus Groth in Low German specifically about water. On two sides of the Green Market, where crocuses and March cupolas bloom in large numbers in spring, you can still see the thick, railing-like iron bars to which animals were once tied during the horse and cattle markets.
