The Deauville boards are a long footbridge where 250 cabins are lined up. The cabins all face the ocean and all have the name of a famous movie star.

The Planches form a multitude of lines that take the eye into the distance. The promenade stretches over 643 meters in length. Its construction dates from 1923 and is the work of the architect Charles Adda, recognized in art deco.

The beach promenade leads straight ahead past endless rows of old beach cabins. I think the smaller beach in Trouville-sur-mer on the other side of the river is nicer.

These "boards" form a long walkway from which you can contemplate the beach, the bright colors of the parasols and the changing colors of the sea and the sky. The seafront is punctuated by a succession of cabin doors separated by small lines of openwork concrete. It’s also a must-see place on the Côte Fleurie!
