Lliterola is a side valley of Benasque that rises in the Lliterola pass, at an altitude of almost 3,000 m, crossed by peaks such as the Tuca del Perdiguero (3,219 m) or the Tuca de Cabrióles (3,107 m). In the last 30 years, the small glacier that retained its head has disappeared, which has led to the birth of four small white ibones, dammed by the same moraine that formed the glacier. They are milky ibones, characteristic of high altitude lakes, due to the rock sprayed by glacial erosion that contains the water, known as rock flour. Below these new ibons is the large White Ibiter de Lliterola, which occupies 11 ha in a huge glacier overburden basin. Despite its name, its waters are of an intense dark blue, which show its great depth.
