Great landscape - some of the bike paths are horrible (along the main road without security)

the long version:
I thought the Lenneradweg seems to be interesting too. Arriving by train was too complicated so get on your bike and start this real "Hardcore" tour.

I already knew the first part (Wippertalbahn)
Shortly before Marienheide, however, we left the easy routes and went into the "wild" nature of the very hilly Sauerland.
After 10 km I already thought: that won't work - it's only uphill here 😁
After about 40 km on sometimes adventurous "bike paths" I then reached Plettenberg an der Lenne.
The Lenneradweg was very nice there, until it wasn't nice anymore. A cycle path on the main road with no safety for cyclists. You can also call this part the "Suicide Cycle Path". 🤮 When a 38 ton truck overtakes you at 80 km/h, you feel different.
Well, what do you expect from those responsible for federal roads - no gas, no electricity, no cycle paths. I see that in my home town too. Cycle paths on the B228 just stop there 🤪. Hooray, Germany is becoming a bike country 🤢
Shortly before Hagen it got nice again - until home.
Conclusion: due to these sections on the federal highway, the Lenneradweg is not recommended in one go - then rather ride the Ruhrtalradweg - it is safer.

The Lenne cycle path is easy to ride. There is something to discover in many places, access to the river is always possible.
