The visitor center of the dunes of Schoorl is on the edge of the area. Numerous cycling and hiking trails start from here. You can find out about the formation of the dunes there, or just use the gastronomy. The Spielwald is right next to the visitor center. Here the children can play to their heart's content with water, sand, twigs, ropes and other materials that nature has to offer. In a container with animal paw prints you can see how far, for example, a fox can jump. But you can also measure your own jump. You can also play hide and seek between the trees and behind the branches in the Schoorlse dunes of the state forest administration!

The center is managed by Staatsbosbeheer and is the starting point for many walks, bike rides and activities such as treasure hunts and excursions.
There is a lot of information about the Schoorlse Duinen, you will find exhibitions there and you can also hold meetings there.

It has a nice shop and a wonderful catering facility “IJgenweis food & drinks”.
