The bear sanctuary in Kuterevo is a shelter for orphaned little brown bears, who have been separated from their mother by adverse circumstances and can not survive the first year alone.
The association Aktion Bärenkinder e.V. was founded in 2003, is based in Berlin and supports the refugium Ursorum Kuterevo in the Velebit Mountains from Germany.
