Directly on the banks of the Elbe, a large iron slewing crane is a reminder of the shipyard history of the Dresden district of Übigau.
The technical monument began its service in 1891 with a load capacity of 25 tons. Later it was rebuilt, equipped with an electric drive and counterweight, increasing its load capacity to 30 tons.
The engines were lifted into the newly built ships with the crane. After an external - not technical - renovation in 2005, it can now be admired in its old splendor.
