Stoner is a district of Enego which is 9 km from the center. At the intersection of the provincial road that divides the district into groups of houses, you can see on the right the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church flanked by its small bell tower which, with the retouching of the bells, calls the inhabitants to Sunday mass. Construction work on this temple of worship began on July 22, 1922. In fact, that year the first stone of the future church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was blessed and in autumn the nave was already on the roof. The works were carried out by the entire community with voluntary offers and services. The church was completed in 1925. It contains 2 works, ⠀
which adorn the parish church of Stoner. The first is an oil painting, placed in the central arch of the presbytery, which the Milanese painter Salvatore Maldarelli created in 1930. The second is a painted glass window installed in the entrance compass. It was made at the end of the twentieth century by the Marconi glassworks based on a design by Stefano Schirato. After admiring the Church, the visitor can enter a wonderful nature trail, ideal for long walks immersed in the woods and meadows colored by flowers of a thousand different species.
