Fridhem is a former summer home of the Swedish Princess Charlotta Eugenia Augusta Amalia Albertina, called Eugénie of Sweden, a daughter of King Oscar I. The home is on the Baltic Sea island of Gotland, on Högklintsvägen, near the village of Högklint och Nygårds near the Högklint cliffs, about five kilometers south of Visby on the Baltic Sea.

Fridhems Pensionat is a historic estate on Gotland, steeped in history and now used as accommodation and a café.

A Royal Origin
The estate was originally built in 1861 by the Swedish Princess Eugénie. She was suffering from health problems, and her doctor recommended the fresh air of Gotland. The princess fell in love with the island and had a summer house built in the so-called Swiss style on a site with spectacular views of the Baltic Sea.

What it is today
Today, the estate is a boarding house that is still in operation. It offers various types of accommodation in the historic buildings and separate cottages. Many of the original details and the charm of the royal past have been preserved. The estate is known for its manicured gardens, private beach access, and proximity to Visby.
