The Bostalsee is a reservoir in the municipality of Nohfelden in northern Saarland, which was accumulated in 1979. The dam has a length of 500 meters. The lake is almost exclusively for recreational use. The dammed water power has been used to a limited extent since the end of 2013 to generate electricity, especially in order to illuminate the circular route around the lake during the winter months. The south-western part of the lake is designated as a nature reserve. There are two beach baths, a boat rental, petting zoo, bike rental, catering and much more.

But a super sunny summer (holiday) Sunday is guaranteed to bring lots of people, lots of pedestrians, and cyclists have to share a path with them.

Upside down house looks very interesting. Cycling around the Bostalsee is not so good because a lot of cyclists and pedestrians are out and about when the weather is nice and only walking pace is allowed.
