    The Duisitzkarseehütte is located in the Obertal and on the idyllic Duisitzkarsee, not far from the Styrian town of Schladming/Unterrohr. The rustic hut was already used as accommodation for miners around the year 1300.

    Today it is particularly suitable as a starting point or destination for various hikes or for relaxing in nature. The classic ascent to the Duisitzkarseehütte alone leads through a dreamlike and untouched landscape.

    Other popular and recommended hiking tours are the Obertaler Almenrunde, the Bergseeweg from the Ursprungalm to the Duisitzkarsee or the circular hike from the Neualm to the Duisitzkarsee.

        The Duisitzkarseehütte stands on a hill at Duisitzkarsee. Here you will be greeted with a warm "Griaß di" - since 1949, the beginning of the history of farming. You can enjoy the wonderful view to the fullest on the hut terrace. Hearty alpine hut flair awaits you inside. Take a rest in your alpine hut in Rohrmoos near Schladming and enjoy the traditional hut food with seasonal specialties.

          Great location, slightly elevated above the Duisitzkarsee with really fine food and a large selection of cakes and tarts, always freshly prepared!
          The dishes we enjoyed (porcini mushroom cream soup, as well as cardinal slices and banana slices) were convincingly good!
          You can even spend the night here!
