It is the oldest church in Mittersill, originally built as a castle chapel by the Lords of Felben next to their residential tower (now the Felber Museum) in the Felben district. Nicholas, the patron saint of travelers. Today's church is late Gothic with a Romanesque core, baroque on the inside, with a beautiful ribbed vault. With works of art from the Gothic to the Rococo, it is considered one of the most harmonious and best-preserved church buildings in the Salzburg region. The statues of the "14 Holy Helpers" (1440-1490) in the main altar are particularly valuable in terms of art history. The paintings with an old view of the town of Felben are also interesting. The pencil scribbles on the front door are a special feature - they date back to 1733! The Felberkerk is now a particularly popular wedding church. A "Children's Church Guide", created by the altar boys, is available in the church. The Tauernradwanderweg runs right past the church. The church is always open for prayer and viewing.
