The evangelical church and the idyllic village pond of Holzhausen are located directly on the avenue leading to Hohenhaus Castle. The listed church building is still quite young, it was built in 1915 in the late Gothic style. The floor plan is characterized by its crooked, asymmetrical structure. The predecessor church, a half-timbered building from 1713, located near the lime tree and the former village school, still exists.

In 1915, the late Gothic village church was built in the park-like surroundings on the avenue leading to Gut Hohenhaus. The building floor plan is characterized by its angled, asymmetrical structure. The choir and aisle windows, designed with late Gothic motifs, are particularly worth mentioning. The gallery above the entrance is finished with a richly decorated parapet. From the pond below in the village you can see a picturesque village church in picturesque surroundings that you simply cannot pass by.
