This romantic park, created in 1883 around the source of the Bouzaize, tells of travels and botanical discoveries around the world. The population's need for water prompted the then mayor, Paul BOUCHARD, to acquire the plots of land that make up the Parc de la Bouzaize.
The acquisition began in 1886 with the plots of land immediately surrounding the water surface and the Bourgeoise fountain. The other plots were acquired gradually through sales or inheritances, particularly when phylloxera appeared, which made it necessary to clear the vineyards. The acquisition was completed around 1910.
