The Marktkirche St. Bonifacii is the largest Protestant parish church in Bad Langensalza and was first mentioned in documents in 1272. It was built in 1592 from native travertine stone. The tower is 72.5 meters high and thus the second highest church tower in Thuringia.

The tower can in consultation with the association "Marktkirche St. Bonifacii e.V." be climbed and offers a wonderful view over Bad Langensalza.
