The Utrechtsche Vecht is a 40 km long river in the Netherlands, which is often used by yachts and boats. The width of the river and the high frequency of passing ships do not allow for hand-operated ferries such as in Abcoude. An electrically operated ferry, which can transport up to 2 cyclists, is therefore used to connect the two towns of Nigtevecht and Nederhorst den Berg. The transport is free. The ferry operates during the day, at different times (see blue board)
