When it rains, the wood is a little slippery despite the grooves, so just be a little more careful, but there is a railing so you can hold on. You have to climb around 500 steps to get to the top and not far from the next attraction, the bridge itself.

This part of the tour in particular is highly recommended. If you don't want to walk the whole way, you can return halfway to Alvarenga via another suspension bridge or take a taxi.

The large wooden footbridge is included in the entrance fee and takes up to 2.5 hours depending on your condition - it's worth it 👍🏽 at the end there is the possibility to take a taxi back. About 15€

During the summer months the wooden plank path is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and in the winter months from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can register on the Paiva Walkways homepage; the entry price is two symbolic euros. Can be done independently of visiting the suspension bridge.
