The 26.7% natural brine from Bad Windsheim (iodine-free) is mixed with good, clean water and flows over bundles of blackthorn twigs at a concentration of around 20%. The air is enriched with salt droplets and the essential oils from the blackthorn wood.
Inhaling this salty air not only has an expectorant and soothing effect, but according to medical findings it also has an anti-inflammatory effect and is preventative and healing for chronic bronchitis and sinusitis. This medical "miracle" is also said to have a certain revitalizing effect on fatigue symptoms or relief for heart, circulatory and vascular diseases.
