This climb is the true meaning of a hidden gem, a phenomenal secret right next to the busiest climb in the area. From the Col d'rates take the short section of gravel road and follow it for 100m where it will turn in to a concrete road from there to the top. It's steep and very hard going but the views from the top are to die for, truly phenomenal!

This thing is killing. Incredibly beautiful, especially if you manage to get to the top. The views are awesome but you need to cover almost 4km at 12%. If you be Pogacar you can do it in 11min but we are not all that special. Worth the effort though.

Coll de Rates PLUS: after the moderate ascent to coll de rates pass, this extra climb offers incredible views to both valleys North and South and until the sea. You. It goes about 3km and 400hm with up to 12% up. The steep parts alternate with flat(ter) parts to catch some breath. its a clear challenge for body and mind. Tedej Pogačar went up here on on Jan 1st 2022 and is still under the Top 5.
